A wearable piezoelectric dampening glove that reduces tremor amplitude by 60% for people with essential tremor or Parkinson's disease.
Millions of people with essential tremor struggle with daily tasks. This glove uses an array of piezoelectric actuators embedded in a flexible silicone frame to apply counter-vibrations that dampen tremor amplitude. In testing with 5 volunteers, mean tremor amplitude was reduced by 58-63%.
