About this project

Microplastic pollution in freshwater ecosystems is an underreported environmental crisis. This study collected water samples from three local rivers over six months and used low-cost DIY spectrometry to identify and quantify microplastic particles. Results revealed alarming concentrations near industrial runoff zones.
